Paperman Short Film
Paperman is a great modern example of how 3D animation can be changed to look like 2D. I really enjoy this animation in particular because it stands out from a lot of other things that Disney produce as well as the very simple narrative that works so well. After seeing the short film, I decided to look at the storyboards that were behind the film and this inspired me to have more depth in my own storyboards as the panels have lots of depth in them without taking away from the subject. The technique behind the different frames looks to be done digitally so I am also inspired to move from hand drawing my frames to trying out a different technique that I haven't had the chance to try before.
